JOURNEY INTO GENESIS

June 25th, 2008
This collection of ambient instrumentals held with gentle vocals was inspired by the magnificent beauty of God’s creation all around us - It is creatively unique, taking the listener on a journey into Genesis - through expanse, light, land and sea…great mountains, interchanging from the sounds of the whale in ‘The Voice of The Deep,’ to the rising notes of the violin, Irish whistle, flute and saxophone…bringing with each track a surprise at every turn along the way. We live in a beautiful world… It is vast and full of life… Earth sings… Listen!

Chris Lambe was born in Liverpool England, raised in New Zealand and migrated to Australia in 1978. After a short term of pastoring a small church, he was diagnosed with cancer, which Chris says was one of the most significant events in His Life. “It was during this time of recuperation that God invaded my life with the message of His Sovereign Grace and inspired me to begin writing His music”. His wife Kerrie was born on the Gold Coast, Australia and is a professional counsellor.

Gerard Le Feuvre of The Kings Chamber Orchestra is awarded Jersey National Anthem

June 11th, 2008

Gerard le Feuvre – cellist, creator and leader of the Kings Chamber Orchestra and long-time collaborator with Delirious and many others – is honoured to have his own composition chosen as the first ever anthem of Jersey, his home island.
Gerard takes up the story:
‘The island of Jersey, in recent years, has sought to consolidate its unique identity and history in a variety of ways. Jersey is neither British nor French and even retains a small, if dwindling, population for whom the original language of the island, Jerrias (Norman French), is a mother-tongue. Jersey’s government, known as the States of Jersey, announced in early 2007 a competition to find an anthem to sit alongside the National Anthem in order to represent and identify Jersey more specifically on the world stage and to be a source of pride to the island. IN REMEMBRANCE

May 31st, 2008

I hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend. Maybe you  were busy preparing for a big BBQ get-together with family. Perhaps you attended a graduation party for a close friend or family member. Or perhaps, like me, you took the time with friends and family to see the new Indiana Jones movie (liked it, wish I loved it).

Last week, the family of Steven Curtis Chapman was undoubtedly preparing for similar upcoming celebrations. Their eldest daughter had just announced her engagement. One of the two boys was preparing for graduation the following week. (Knowing Steven, I bet he was looking to fit in Indiana Jones soon, as well). As a tight-knit family, you know they had big plans for the weekend.
